EQUIPMENT AROUND THE ERW LINE

Tube Mill Auxiliary Equipment

A tube mill project involves more than the forming mill. Coil entry, strip preparation, welding, cutting, tooling and finished-tube handling should be reviewed against your production plan.

Equipment shown here is a guide for discussion. The included, optional and excluded scope is confirmed in your project proposal.

01 / PLANNING THE LINE

Review each production stage together.

The equipment you need depends on the tubes, material, coil handling, output target, cutting requirement and factory layout. Use the groups below to explore XFX's existing equipment pages, then confirm the actual arrangement in a project proposal.

Coil entry & strip preparationHF weldingCutting & handlingTooling & seam treatment

These groups help buyers navigate the process; they are not a fixed engineering bill of materials or a promise that every item is included.

02 / EXPLORE XFX EQUIPMENT

Choose the equipment topics to review.

Each link opens an existing XFX English equipment category. Share your actual requirements before deciding the configuration.

01

Coil entry & strip preparation

Discuss how steel strip enters the line and how supply is managed through coil changes.

01 / COIL ENTRY

Material Uncoiler

Handles steel coil at the line entry. Discuss coil weight, strip width and the loading arrangement for your plant.

Review: coil and handling requirements.

Explore Material Uncoiler
02 / STRIP JOINING

Shearing and Welding Machine

Cuts and joins strip ends around a coil change. Discuss how strip preparation and joining should fit your line arrangement.

Review: strip-joining method and coil-change needs.

Explore Shearing and Welding Machine
03 / STRIP SUPPLY

Material Accumulator

Stores strip for continued feed while coils are changed or joined. Discuss the line speed target and available layout space.

Review: strip continuity and line arrangement.

Explore Material Accumulator
02

HF welding

Review the seam-welding equipment against the tube schedule and material.

04 / SEAM WELDING

High-Frequency Welder

Provides high-frequency welding for the longitudinal seam. Discuss tube size, wall thickness, material and line-speed requirements.

Review: welding configuration for the project.

Explore High-Frequency Welder
03

Cutting & finished-tube handling

Discuss finished length, end quality and how tubes leave the line.

05 / CUTTING

Pipe Cutting Saw

Cuts finished tubes to length. XFX's existing category covers hot friction saw and cold saw choices; the cutting method is a project decision.

Review: sizes, wall thicknesses, finished length and cut-end needs.

Explore Pipe Cutting Saw
06 / RUN-OUT

Pipe Run-Out Table

Receives finished tubes after cutting. Discuss the discharge and handling arrangement required at the end of your line.

Review: tube handling and plant layout.

Explore Pipe Run-Out Table
04

Tooling & seam treatment

Match tooling to the actual tube schedule and review any treatment needed for the product.

07 / FORMING TOOLS

Roll Tooling

Rolls are planned around tube shape, each exact size and its matching wall thickness. Discuss which sizes you will run and your size-change plan.

Review: tooling scope for every planned size.

Explore Roll Tooling
08 / ZINC TREATMENT

Zinc Spraying Machine

Relates to weld-seam zinc treatment for relevant galvanized-tube projects. Discuss whether seam protection is needed for your product and process.

Review: material and weld-seam treatment needs.

03 / YOUR PRODUCTION PLAN

How to decide what your line needs.

Start with the tube list and the way you intend to operate the line. XFX can review which equipment and tooling should be discussed for your project; this page does not select a package automatically.

You can begin with partial information. We can identify what else is needed before a final configuration is proposed.

Useful information to send

  1. Round, square or rectangular tube shape and every important exact size
  2. The matching wall thickness for each size
  3. Raw material or steel grade
  4. Coil width and coil weight, if known
  5. Target production speed or output, if known
  6. Finished tube length and cut-end requirement
  7. Automation expectations and workshop space, if known
  8. Electrical supply and destination country, if known

A first inquiry can be sent before this list is complete.

04 / COMPARE THE SCOPE

Know what the quotation includes.

When comparing proposals, check the equipment scope as well as the total price. The final included, excluded and optional items should be stated for your project.

Line equipmentWhich machines are included, excluded or optional?
Tooling & cuttingWhich tube sizes need tooling, and what cutting system is quoted?
Welding & controlsWhat HF welding configuration and automation are proposed?
Support & sparesWhat installation, training and spare-parts scope is included?

No listed auxiliary item is assumed to be standard, free or suitable for every ERW project.

05 / FACTORY & SUPPORT

Discuss the equipment with XFX.

XFX has its own factory in China. We can provide on-site installation and commissioning, operator training, remote technical support, operation and maintenance documents, and spare-parts support.

The service arrangement is confirmed in the project proposal. For overseas installation, the customer is responsible for the installation personnel's visas, international travel, accommodation, meals and wages during the installation period.

06 / BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions about auxiliary equipment

Does every ERW tube mill line include all the equipment on this page?

No fixed package is assumed here. Equipment included, excluded or offered as an option is confirmed in the proposal for your tube schedule and production plan.

How do I choose between hot friction saw and cold saw?

Send the tube sizes, matching wall thicknesses, material, finished length and cut-end requirement. XFX can discuss the cutting method for the project; this overview does not promise a universal choice.

What should I send for roll tooling?

List each tube shape and exact size with its matching wall thickness, plus your planned size changes. Tooling scope can then be discussed with the line configuration.

Can I ask about equipment before my complete specification is ready?

Yes. Send what you already know. We can identify the missing details needed for the project proposal.

07 / DISCUSS YOUR LINE

Send your tube schedule and equipment questions.

Tell us the shapes, exact sizes with matching wall thicknesses, material and any known coil, speed, cut-length or layout requirements. We can discuss the equipment scope with you.
